San Juan Del Sur Waterfront Village
San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua

Project: Site planning, housing type development, and overall character development for a new mixed-use village on a 60-acre site along the Pacific coast of Nicaragua. The plan establishes an urban fabric based on the precedent of regional Nicaraguan small towns. A central canal and a series of smaller canals form the framework of the plan.

Program: The heart of the project is a mixed-use Village Center and plaza with retail, a small casino, urban housing, and civic uses. The neighborhood will accommodate a wide variety of housing choices that will include townhouses, flats, and large estates. The edge of the village is oriented toward a large marina.
