Octavia Boulevard Infill Housing Competition – Award Winner
San Francisco, California

Project: Conceptual building-type design, programming, and character development for 4 units on a 15.25’ deep by 120’ wide lot along the new Octavia Boulevard to help define and activate the edges. Each unit integrates a large outdoor terrace that functions as a communal space. Green building principles are applied with the use of a solar panel system, passive solar heating techniques, and shading with the bays and shutters to reduce heat gain in the summer months.

Program: 1,200 sf ground-floor retail, and 4 one-bedroom units ranging in size from 950 to 1600 sf with a flex space that can serve as a second bedroom or home office.
