Hercules Bayfront Plan receives LEED-ND Gold Certification

Opticos' Hercules Bayfront Plan has received Stage 1 LEED-ND Gold certification. In order to reach Gold-level certification, a project must achieve between 60 and 79 out of a total 100 points. The 40-acre project in the Northern Bay Area community of Hercules, CA includes three new walkable neighborhoods, composed of 1,224 residential units, 215,000 square feet of commercial/flex space, 42,000 square feet of retail, an Amtrak station, and a potential ferry terminal.

Opticos Design was responsible for the site planning and design for the new neighborhoods, as well as a complete Form-Based Code that replaces the existing zoning.
